WARDENS OF THE NORTH
The League of Lordaeron is a longstanding sodality dedicated to the reclamation and restoration of the northern kingdoms. Established as a de facto protectorate of the realm, they are sworn to protect the northern territories and its denizens from all manner of threats.
a home reborn
Located upon the coast of the Eastweald, the port city Northgarde serves as the order's primary base of operations. Rediscovered during the Legion's second invasion of Azeroth, the League has diligently rebuilt the city and restored its surrounding settlements. From here, the order projects power and stability across the kingdom, and deters the foes of the Alliance from further acts of hostility. Once lost to the tribulations of time and conflict, Northgarde stands proudly as a symbol of the League of Lordaeron's devotion to the realm—and of hope for the future.
AN UNDYING CAUSE
With allegiance sworn to the Grand Alliance and the human kingdoms, the order accepts recruitment from all member races of the Alliance as well as volunteers, mercenaries, and artisans who are prepared to commit themselves to its righteous cause, provided they pledge a solemn vow to uphold the perennial oath that binds all hearts of the order to the north.

rules and guidelines
article i - general rules of conduct
I. Treat fellow community members with respect and courtesy at all times. The League of Lordaeron is a proud ally of the LGBTQ+ community, and strives to create an open and welcoming environment to all who choose to join.II. Keep in mind that the guild tag follows you wherever you go. Your actions, both In and Out of Character, reflect on this community; strive to leave a good impression and treat others around you with kindness and respect.III. If a dispute arises, try and handle it between yourselves rationally and privately, or approach an officer regarding your concerns and ask them to mediate. It is requested that you supply the officers with appropriate screenshots related to the reported incident. Never use public chat channels as a stage on which to air your grievances.IV. The League of Lordaeron is an 18+ community and does not include minors in any of our spaces. However, while community chat channels are intended to be an open forum for discussion, always be respectful of other people's perspectives, feelings, and boundaries. If anyone becomes uncomfortable, remember Rule I and tone it down.V. Respecting the officers is paramount. Please remember we are here to promote a fun and safe environment for everyone, and respect both the authority that brings as well as the judgment it carries. We always insist you bring any concerns or grievances you have directly to an officer, provided you share that criticism maturely and constructively. We are here to help you.VI. Do not troll, grief, or harass others, inside or outside of the community. Remember that as a member, you will be expected to adhere to our code of conduct at all times.
article ii - roleplay rules and guidelines
I. Do not god mod (emote in such a way that it encroaches upon another player's agency over their character.) All emotes involving another character should be written as attempts with clear, mature OOC communication understood between the involved players.II. Do not metagame (using Out of Character knowledge to affect In Character interactions.)III. Observe the chain of command and respect the officers. The League of Lordaeron is a military-esque order; In Character insubordination and other infractions will be met with IC consequences. Whether as an enlisted or an auxiliary, by being accepted into the League, you also understand and accept that In Character actions will at times yield In Character consequences, up to and including demotion or removal depending on the severity and/or repeated offenses.
article iii - activity and ranks
I. Participate. While by no means mandatory, we expect a minimum level of participation from our members and will take note of those who consistently attend and contribute to events with a positive, proactive attitude.II. We have a two month grace period for activity; if you are inactive for more than sixty days, you are subject to removal; however, inactive members that have been removed may contact an officer upon their return to be reinvited. If you anticipate being absent for any period, please inform an officer and we will make a note of it. In addition, please be advised that we do abide by the "Revolving Door" policy, which means that quitting the guild (i.e. removing all your characters) three times means that you will be asked to resubmit your application upon rejoining a fourth time.III. Promotions will be awarded at the prerogative of the officers. Please do not repeatedly hound the officers about wanting or not receiving a promotion; this will only hinder your chances. Attending events, participating regularly, and helping to cultivate the friendly, fun environment we strive to maintain will all contribute toward consideration for your eligibility. Detailed descriptions on the ranks and general guidelines for achieving them can be found here. If you wish to receive feedback from the officers or discuss your potential candidacy, please reach out to us.
article iv - penalties
I. Consequences of In Character infractions are determined by the Command Council per the relevant guide in the handbook pertaining to disciplinary action, or individual decision by the corresponding officer. Please understand that while we will always strive to prioritize storytelling that is conducive to roleplay development and enjoyment, there will be consequences for In Character actions.II. Most importantly, all matters of conflict Out of Character are overseen by the officers and the GM. Our rulings are made on a case-by-case basis and we ask that you respect them regardless of the decision made. We understand that disagreements can arise with judgments and encourage you to discuss or appeal them with us rationally and maturely, but do not berate or argue once a final verdict has been issued.
